Return & Refund Policy

We gladly accept returns and exchanges within 14 days of purchase, provided the item is in its original packaging with all tags intact. We reserve the right to decline returns or exchanges for items in unsatisfactory condition.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. 

To start a return, you can contact us at potomacriverkids@gmail.com. 

If your return is accepted, we’ll send instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Potomac River Kids does not cover return shipping costs but will happily cover the shipping cost of all outgoing exchanges.

Damages and issues 
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned. We do not accept returns or exchanges on sale items, gift cards, holiday merchandise, hats, socks, slippers, hair accessories, teethers, dining sets, or pacifiers. We also do not accept returns on any stuffed toys, with the exception of manufacturer defects. 

Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. 

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds 
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded using your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember that it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Shipping Policy

All orders are processed within one week, which is the time before your order is shipped.Delays might occur during promotions.

We ship via USPS Ground Advantage. Once shipped, your package will take 2-5 days to arrive.


We provide free shipping on many of our products! When we cannot offer free shipping, we charge a flat rate of $10.​

We do not offer international shipping.

Potomac River Kids is not responsible for package deliveries affected by an invalid address provided by the customer, or delays caused by the shipping carrier.

Please ensure a secure shipping location as we will not process refunds or re-deliver once tracking shows delivery confirmation.

Event Policy

Make-Up Policy: If Potomac River Kids cancels a class, we will arrange a make-up date and email you to inform you.

Refund Policy: Potomac River Kids does not offer refunds for events or event transfers. Refunds are not provided for missed events or cancellations due to weather. If a class needs to be rescheduled, we will notify you of the new event date via email. Please note that we do not issue refunds if you cannot attend the rescheduled date. Potomac River Kids will not offer refunds or exchanges on pre-ordered products included in event ticket prices. 

Weather Policy: The safety of our children, families, and staff is our top priority at Potomac River Kids. In cases of inclement weather, we follow guidance from the National Weather Service, Loudoun County, and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Families will receive email notifications regarding any weather-related cancellations. While we strive to reschedule weather-affected events whenever possible, rescheduling may not always be feasible due to space constraints and scheduling limitations.
